A three-day in-person course
Open to community nurses and midwives working in a clinical setting in Scotland .
Cost: £295
(includes a £75 non-refundable booking fee which must be paid within 7 working days of confirmation of a place)

Edinburgh - Monday 8, Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 June 2026
Venue: Deaf Action, 49 Albany St, Edinburgh EH1 3QY
Glasgow - Tuesday 16, Wednesday 17 and 18 February 2027
Venue: tbc
*Edinburgh – remaining £220 course fee to be paid before Saturday 9 May 2026
*Glasgow – remaining £220 course fee to be paid before Sunday 17 January 2027
Essential criteria for applicants:
Working as a community nurse or midwife in a clinical setting in Scotland
Currently registered with the NMC
Not under investigation by the NMC or your employing organisation.
Queen’s Nurse Leadership 1 is a three-day in-person course for up to 20 participants. The course focuses on:
values-based leadership in the context of public health, health equity, inclusion, and community nursing
different leadership styles and theories, and what it means to lead in small ways as well as bigger ways
self-awareness, self-knowledge, and emotional complexity in leadership
how these ideas might be applied in participants’ own professional context and role.
All of our Queen’s Nurse Leadership courses are carefully structured to include the best possible balance between the teaching of high-quality content, experiential learning, and deep reflection. We work with well-established coaches, facilitators, and expert speakers who bring their knowledge and insights to every course.

Ensure you have the means to pay the booking fee and the course fee before you apply
Complete and submit the application form for your selected course.
How to pay
You won’t be asked to pay until we review your application and offer you a place
There is a non-refundable booking fee of £75 to secure your place and you can pay this yourself or we can invoice your employer
The course fee is £220 and you can pay this yourself or we can invoice your employer.
