A group of eight, including members of the QNIS staff team, Trustees, and in recognition of it also being National Children’s Nurses Day, four Queen’s Nurses who work as Children’s Nurses, went along to the event and enjoyed afternoon tea in the beautiful Palace gardens.

Their Majesties The King and Queen, the Princess Royal, and the Duke of Edinburgh were in attendance at the event, along with the Royal Company of Archers, who did a great job of making all the guests feel welcome. Two military bands provided musical entertainment throughout the afternoon. The group were invited to speak with The Queen, who is Patron of QNIS, and she was delighted to meet Queen’s Nurses and have the opportunity to hear about the organisation's recent work.
